Pakistan’s Prime Minister and the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has declared his assets worth more than 315.95 million rupees in his nomination papers for the upcoming general elections.
This shows an increase of more than 277.25 million rupees in his assets since 2018, when he had declared assets worth 38.694 million rupees.
According to the documents, Khan has inherited a 7 kanal 8 marla house in Zaman Park Lahore, on which he has spent more than 48.6 million rupees on construction. He has also received 300 kanals of land in Bani Gala as a gift, on which he has spent more than 3.9 million rupees on decoration, regularization and maintenance. He owns more than 5 million rupees worth of 6 kanal 16 marla land in Mehran Noor area of Islamabad, a shop worth more than 120 million rupees in a shopping plaza and a 2-room flat worth more than 34 million rupees in a plaza in Islamabad. He has also inherited 188 kanals of land in Bhakkar.
Khan has more than 31.5 million rupees in cash and more than 60 million rupees in various bank accounts in Islamabad. He has also bought precious items worth more than 11.877 million rupees from the treasury house. He had shown assets worth more than 141 million rupees to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in 2021, which increased to more than 320 million rupees in 2022. According to the FBR certificate, he has shown assets worth 315.59 million rupees in 2023.
Khan does not own any car, but he has four goats worth 200,000 rupees. He has also shown 698 kanals of land in Pakpattan and Depalpur in the name of his wife Bushra Bibi, who also owns a 3 kanal house in Bani Gala.
Khan has shown his educational qualification as BA in Political Science and his current profession as philanthropist. He has no job or business in the last five years. His salary as PM was Rs250,000.
